Large computers are making a comeback, for example in telecoms systems - and their massive loss rates are with us again too. Instead of dissipating the heat via additional components such as cooling surfaces, we have devised an elegant internal solution to the problem: we make the PCB itself thermally conductive. The heat from the components is dissipated via a heat-conductive resin onto the aluminium or copper layers below, from where it is radiated. The heat is extracted through thermal vias, which are thermally and electrically connected to the metal layers. So you can order compact-design cooling performance from us! |
