Because base stations for cellular telephone systems are often installed in heavily populated areas close to the antenna, they must be as small as possible - with very high performance at the same time. "Small, complex, and highly efficient" - a typical problem that calls for multilayers with thin glass layers and high packing density. Specific techniques assist miniaturisation here, such as microvias with hole diameters of 50 to 140 µm, and decoupling thanks to optimised layout and material selection. With PPC's multilayer technology, you can even cope with "difficult" HDI applications as well.
